Gli statuti rivelano la gestione della milizia e lo sforzo bellico comunale, ma anche la presenza dei cavalli in altre sfere della politica e della società medievale.

The essay analyzes the presence of horses in the communal statutes of Lombardy (13th-14th centuries), surveying the regulations of historical Lombardy and attempting to highlight similarities and differences in various cities.
